ICONIC LONDON EVO BRUSHES – CONTOUR SET

When applying makeup the tools you use for application makes the biggest impact in achieving that flawless airbrushed finish. These brushes are very unique to any of my typical brushes I have used and they make a massive difference in the finish of my foundation.

These iconic brushes are very soft and easy to use, with one glide on the face it applies the foundation evenly leaving no streaks or patches on the face. The above image is a brush set for contouring and these brushes are amazing at blending your contour and highlight evenly.

These brushes are best suited to liquid based or cream based products compared to powder and these brushes ensure that your foundation looks smooth on the face and more of a skin like finish as it absorbs a lot of the excess product to prevent that ‘cakey’ look.

EVO brushes saves you so much time blending and applying your base makeup creating a full coverage look in minutes. The price of iconic london EVO brushes are very reasonable ranging from £26-£85 with a mixture of sets and individual brushes compared to other brands such as the ‘Artis’ brushes (£410 for a set).

The packaging is very luxurious and lightweight, the design of the brushes are perfect to fit the hollows of the cheeks for contouring and under the eyes to conceal and highlight. These brushes create an amazing difference to the appearance and finish of your makeup… so the answer is YES! Everyone needs to definitely try out EVO brush 001 as it is now my everyday makeup brush for applying my base.

NYX INTENSE BUTTER GLOSS | REVIEW

I am currently obsessed with NYX products and these NYX Intense butter glosses will make you obsessed too! The above glosses are in the shade ‘Tres Leches’ and ‘Orangesicle’ and they are the most pigmented lip glosses you will come across.

They are so creamy and rich in colour that they glide on the lips perfectly. The sponge applicator is soft and flat which makes the lip gloss apply evenly and does not leave any streaks.

Tres Leches is a pinkish nude toned shade perfect for everyday and will suit a wide range of skin tones. Orangesicle is the perfect summer shade and great to have in your holiday makeup bag, it is a bright and vibrant orange toned shade.

The smell is a light vanilla cup cake scent and it is not like those other lip glosses that have a chemical, unpleasant scent lingering on your lips. The texture is very smooth and not too thick and heavy on the lips, making it comfortable to wear all day.

The lasting power is around 4-5 hours, when eating and drinking it fades evenly. The formula is very moisturising and hydrating on the lips and easy to remove with a makeup wipe and leaves lips feeling smooth.

Another great thing is when re-applying this product it applies evenly and does not cling to dry patches in the centre of the lips.

You can apply these glosses on its own as they are pigmented enough and do not need a base colour. However, they can also be paired with a lipstick to create that intense glossy lip look or to add moisturise to matte lipsticks.

The price is also a bonus, it is very inexpensive and retails for £5.50. I purchased mine in Boots and NYX are expanding their counters inside Boots nearly everywhere which is great as you can now swatch and try on!

I highly recommend giving these glosses a try, there are a range of shades to suit every one!

I am absolutely obsessed with the new Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow palette! It is so pigmented and easy to blend. The brush that comes with it is very good for blending and applying the shadows. The eyeshadows stand out and last all day long on the eyes. The palette is also versatile for daytime looks, natural everyday looks and dramatic going out looks.

It is perfect for everyone!
