For quite a while I was on the look out for the perfect BB cream, I tried a lot of beauty brands however the shades were not a perfect match for my skin tone. I wanted a BB cream that would give me a light-medium coverage with a natural finish for the summer. Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Bronzing Beauty Balm ticks all the boxes for the perfect BB cream and highlights my warm complexion. It comes in a universal shade and when applied it is invisible on the skin which is great for those who want a natural make up look. It aims to give a retouched, photoshop look.

It is the ultimate must have for your summer make up bag, as it gives you a subtle touch of the sun to your skin. Naked Skin Beauty Balm claims to be a multitasking formula which is definitely true, there are so many positive benefits that the bronzing formula has to offer in the long term for your skin. It is an optical blurring formula, however if you are looking for a flawless full coverage look this is not for you. With my experience, using this product it is extremely blendable and makes my skin softer, even toned and smoother.

It provides instant hydration and moisture, giving your skin a healthy glow. It primes the skin so make up is applied easily and stays in place, the formula is easy to apply with your fingers or a brush I recommend using a brush for best results. It also protects the skin with SPF 20, evens out your skin tone perfectly, minimizes pores, lines, wrinkles and redness. The beauty balm also treats the skin against stress, making it firmer and more lifted.

The texture of the formula is velvety soft, not too runny and easy to blend, when applied it matches the colour of my skin tone perfectly. It provides a smooth, natural finish and evens out your skin tone. The formula is also comfortable, lightweight and the feeling of a no make up look. The formula is fragranced however, it is not unpleasant and the scent wears off after you’ve applied it, I would describe it as a ‘minty’ scent. This product is oil-free and suitable for all skin types, the staying power for me is 7-8 hours with a setting powder and doesn’t make my face oily, shiny or change throughout the day. The packaging of the product is a squeezy tube the only downside to this is that a lot of unwanted product can leak out when you open it, so be careful. A little goes a long way due to the richness of the colour and bendable texture, so the product should last me up to 6 months as I don’t use a huge amount each time.
